FAB-D Diet: A Variation of a Ketogenic Diet or perhaps a Low-Carb Diet
Note: A Standard Ketogenic Diet is less than 50g of Net Carbs per day.
FAB-D Diet can vary between 75g to 175g which is Low-to-Moderate Carbs.
Todays, there so many variations of a Ketogenic Diet like Targeted or Cyclical Ketogenic Diet and carb may increase to more than 5og/d.
So it's safe to categorize FAB-D Diet as a variation of a KETO Diet. With that thought in mind, let's start with the general FAQ's.
Q1) What is a FAB-D Diet?
I have named it after my company Fabulous Body Inc. So there is no surprise in that.
Q2) So what Exactly is this diet all about? Is it yet another fad diet that you are trying to create, just to be different?
A) Haha...No.
I don't even like to call it a diet, it's simply a collection of 5 rules which when followed to the T can give you results.
Q3) Why are you so confident that it will work?
A) I know it has worked for me and millions of other people who have been following a very similar dietary approach.[I am referring to a Low-to-moderate diet approach not my diet per se..haha]
Q4) Ok. I am curious. Tell me what this diet is all about?
A) Its simply a collection of 5 RULES that I will discuss in the next few lectures in detail.
Q5) If it is similar to Atkins Diet or yet another Low-Carb Diet, I am not interested!!
A) No it is not. Atkins recommended eat anything you want and limit your carbs to no more than 20g. Atkins suggests that you can eat everything you want (including a lot of processed meats + vegetables oil/transfats etc.)
FAB-D Diet has decent amount of carbohydrates of total caloric intake which can easily go upto 175g (for a 2000 Caloric diet). Plus Legumes & Beans which are the mainstay for a majority of population of the world is NOT allowed on Atkins as it has a lot of carbohydrates in it.
FAB-D Diet has LOTS of beans, lentils & legumes. Infact, these are the core ingredients especially for vegetarians.
Q6) What do you mean by the 'Enjoyability' aspect of the diet?
A) This is the fun part. Over the past decade I have trained and counseled thousands of people. Many of them were super-disciplined when it come to clean eating. But most were not. They used to always go back to eating junk.
FAB-D Diet is the best of both worlds. Nevertheless there is still some discipline to be maintained.
It allows a percentage of Junk Calories. This varies and many options are provided. More details as we go along.
Q7) Now you talking:)) What about the sustainability part?
Naturally when you are allowed to eat many calories from fast and junk food, the sustainability part is not an issue!
